Overnight Oats with Chia Seeds, Cacao & Berries

Support your mental health with our delicious, mood-boosting overnight oats recipe with gut-loving chia seeds, cacao & berries.

Serves 2

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp raw cacao powder
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 cup yoghurt
  • 1/2 cup mixed berries (we used blueberries, raspberries, & strawberries)
  • 1 tbsp cacao nibs (for extra crunch and cacao)
  • 1 tbsp mixed nuts or nut butter

Instructions:

  1. In a jar or bowl, combine the rolled oats, chia seeds, cacao powder, milk and cinnamon (if using). Stir well to combine, making sure the chia seeds and cacao powder are evenly distributed.
  2. Cover the jar or bowl and place it in the fridge overnight (or at least 4 hours) to allow the oats and chia seeds to absorb the liquid and thicken.
  3. Give the oats a good stir. If the mixture seems too thick, you can add a splash more milk to reach your desired consistency.
  4. Top your overnight oats with a handful of mixed berries, cacao nibs for some crunch, and chopped nuts or a drizzle of nut butter for extra creaminess and healthy fats.
  5. Enjoy these mood-boosting oats straight from the jar or transfer them to a bowl for a more decadent breakfast experience.
